TobyMac Reunites DC Talk for the Song ‘Space’ on ‘Life After Death’

Christian music legend and CHH pioneer TobyMac just released his album Life After Death which contains a selection of songs written about the passing of his son Truett. It’s his first project since 2018’s The Elements.

Toby made his name with his original group DC Talk, which started out as a pop-rap trio with singers Kevin Max and Michael Tait (now of the Newsboys). They were perhaps the biggest group in Christian music history. In 2001, they went on hiatus and never formally reunited until the DC Talk cruises a few years back.

Over the years, the three of gotten together on a few songs, mostly on Toby tracks. The song “Space” on his new album features DC Talk. Prior to that, the 2015 album This is Not a Test had the song “Love Feels Like.” In 2004 for the album Diverse City, they were all featured on the remix of the song “Atmosphere.”
