Gregory Peeples, known professionally, as Mr. GP. He was born and raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina and he’s the founder of Kinfolk of Mine Records established in 2019. Mr. GP began his career as an independent rapper, songwriter, and recording artist.
Certainly, without a doubt, he could not deny the calling upon his life. His mission is to enlighten, inspire, and motivate; the key is to deliver these messages through songs that encourage building a relationship with God and unifying the community. A community that isn’t afraid of using the word love, a love for Christ, a love for its people, and a love for its neighbor. Mr. GP developed his style by creating anthem-like music.
With his first single release Pray back in 2019 Produced by Gudfella Studios featuring Pastor Jayson Sloan, Erika Peeples, and Trey Libra. The song Pray began its first campaign for the label. Soon to follow six more singles which brings us to his most recent project. The album titled “The Re-Up Album” is available worldwide on July 31st, 2021.

The single “We Are Super Heroes”, that features his children Gregory Peeples “GP2”, twins Jeremiah “Lil Jay CP$” and K’Niyah “K’ NaNa” Peeples. This song is produced by KingDrum Beats. The song explains how to be brave, strong, determined, and keep fighting for God. “We Are Super Heroes”, was inspired by “GP2” because he is a fan of anime cartoons and taekwondo. This song was also inspired by “GP2’s” testimony.
Gregory Jr. is an amazing little boy who was diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumor (a rare kidney cancer) in mid-summer of 2012. During his successful battle with Wilm’s Tumor GP2 did not lose his undeniable spirit. Throughout his treatment, Gregory Jr. would often help his father, and mother pray for other children at Brenner Children’s Hospital in North Carolina.
You could always find him dancing, clapping, and singing front and center at one of his father’s concerts, having the time of his life. Be sure to watch the series of music videos to heighten your visual senses filmed directed by the talented companies such as 39 Lashes Media and Young World Multimedia.
The definition of Re-Up is military slang for re-enlisting after you have served a tour on duty eligible for discharge from the Army. The street terminology for Re-Up is to replenish or refill your illegal drug supply. The two definitions of Re-Up are a play on words throughout the whole album. We are all products of His Grace and His Mercy which our souls have already been paid for and cannot be bought. Therefore, Re-enlisting in God’s Army takes heart and determination.
