LeBron James’ production company SpringHill Entertainment has announced that ‘Space Jam 2’ is in the works. Production of the film is slated to begin in 2019 during the NBA off-season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Ryan Coogler (‘Black Panther’) will produce the film. Terence Nance of HBO’s ‘Random Acts of Flyness’ will be the director.
‘Space Jam 2′ (a Warner Bros. project) is LeBron James’ first starring role in a movie.
“The ‘Space Jam’ collaboration is so much more than just me and the Looney Tunes getting together and doing this movie,” said James. “It’s so much bigger. I’d just love for kids to understand how empowered they can feel and how empowered they can be if they don’t just give up on their dreams. And I think Ryan did that for a lot of people.” James will star, of course, alongside Bugs Bunny.” – Quote from CBSNews
Will James do well in the follow-up to the 1996 hit ‘Space Jam,’ which starred basketball icon Michael Jordan?
Fair to say that the Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James debates aren’t stopping anytime soon.
In July of 2018, LeBron James officially signed with the Los Angeles Lakers (four-year, $153.3 million contract).
The 14-Time NBA All-Star continues to make major moves!
