Aha Gazelle – 180 review

Aha Gazelle – 180 review

180 by Aha is a mood, it sounds personal, I imagine him home sitting in his bedroom alone going through beats and then recording his innermost thoughts and feelings through his headphones. The e.p is heavy with emotion brought out by r &b styled melodies and harmonies (done very well), atmospheric beat textures give space for Aha’s confident cadences. “Letter to You” is a short but sweet note that moves right into a song addressing the pressures and criticisms that come along with a successful music career, letting his problems goto the moon “Balloons”. After the skit “Missed Call”, “Take the Lead” bleeds with sacrifice and fasting from temptations to fill God’s plan is Aha’s life. Then drop down “Waterfalls”, Aha Gazelle sings/raps about the joy he feels about his success, “Choices” exposes the truth that we are not perfect, mistakes are made, prices are paid, but this is what it takes to fulfill God’s plan. You land on “God Fearing”, not afraid to make moves, Gazelle ain’t scared, It’s Aha! Music that expresses walking in faith even when your not sure, through all the hater’s remarks and temptations to bring salvation to the next generation are the soulful undertones of 180, and it is certified straight ministry heat.
