YP Beautiful Chaos – Album Review
Young Paul is back at it again and this time he stepped his game up and brought some heavy hitters on his latest release Beautiful Chaos. The album name is expressed in the intro by YP as his most stylish release like an artist throwing cans of paint on a canvas. Dj Morph cuts and slices with precision over classic drums and Flash Gordon sampled hip hop banger, “Midas Touch” while Young Paul drops gold bars, super tough! Jonathan Jonjo Josiah features on the bass riding knock of “Cry For Them”, rapid rhymes roll over this banger and splash into the melodic hook.
Single “Therapy” feat J Crum and Dru Bex, has a mix of groove drums laden over deep drip 808’s and bouncy haunting sampled lyrics. The three emcees triple team about Gods grace giving to us amidst our undeserving sinful ways. “July” a moody piano with shaking high hats continues the praise to God in the hook, “I’m Alive, I’m Alive”, YP volleys the verses between creative word play and meaningful poetics.
Datin and Rdkl team up to add a fire verse and hook about choosing a life of good or evil, getcha life right, “Pick a Side.” Hypnotic bell like flutes dance over hard slow flow drums as YP brags on God about the beauty of living salvation, “Living Large.” “Soul Food” brings back Jonathan Jonjo Josiah over a heart felt wood grain grippin southern fried beat, love the vibe. Praying for the lost is “Intercession” a marching organ swag rhythm featuring Jered Sanders is walk with God day by day praying for this cold world. Last track on Beautiful Chaos is “Standing Ovation” feat François, sounds like a slowed down dance pop celebration and graduation music, its very uplifting, giving God all the glory for all He has done.
I have enjoyed all of YP’s albums I’ve heard, “Beautiful Chaos” is not different . This time around Young Paul sounds very focused, I can hear the efforts of labor. The musicality offered lends right to the projects name, definitely worth downloading and supporting YP. Beautiful Chaos is stamped certified straight ministry heat!
