DJ em-D “Turn The Lights On” feat. Spencer Kane

Seattle Based DJ em-D releases the second single from “Light of the City” EP featuring 5 Time award-winning billboard artist Spencer Kane
SEATTLE, WA – Artist, DJ em-D, releases the second track from his debut EP (Light of the City – October 2018) titled “Turn The Lights On ft. Spencer Kane” on August 24, 2018. The subtle climb to the chorus with a soulful vocal performance from Kane creates an ambient cinematic vibe unlike most Christian based music today. “For years I’ve always imagined having a part in a music creation project and after paying my dues as a live performance DJ the past decade, it’s finally coming to pass,” stated DJ em-D. “The project features five different artists, each on a track, and what I like is how each song has its own vibe and matches what the featured artist does best in their music,” he added. “Light of the City is focused on how each of us needs to be a light for Jesus no matter where we are and be aware of those around us who need to hear the good news.”

Signed to Day 6 Management in the fall of 2017, the founder, Patrick Hess, carefully observed the potential trend happening with DJ’s in popular music genres. “Having worked with em-D for a few summers at Creation Northwest, I inquired if he had ever considered taking the path that some secular DJ’s had been following where they packaged their DJ talents and created music featuring some of the industry’s prominent artists. He clearly resonated with that vision to take his career to a broader audience than the Pacific Northwest and more on a national scale,” said Patrick. “When I evaluate talent I may want to work with I first measure their character and personal life as a guide to knowing if they will have the work ethic and good attitude that it takes to succeed in the music business. em-D happens to espouse both very much and still bring a ton of talent to the table for his career. His heart for God rings true in his actions and words and that’s just hard to find in some well-meaning artists today,” he concluded.
