‘YP aka Young Paul – Give Me A Minute Vol 2 Review’

YP aka Young Paul- Give Me A Minute Vol. 2

YP’s Give Me A Minute Vol. 2 is solely produced by Tae Lamar featuring 8 tracks (intro and outdoor make 10) of fire lyrics over original beats & melodies as well as classic breaks and samples. Like an evangelist on the street asking for a minute of your time, Young Paul gives the listener Bible truth line after line. “Hold Up” YP preaches Jesus Christ’s crucifixion over the classic 900 number horn flip, dope. On “Take Bar Notes” Tae Lamar serves up another classic sample, Bob James “Nautilus” as YP goes hard at sinful emcees and his own old nature with bars boasting about salvation. “Ozark” boom bap crunching drums and multi syllable rhymes drive the track, straight heat. “Spit Wit Grits” a song about man’s rebellion from God, YP reminisces of his, before Christ days. “Feel It” holy ghost lyrics, manna from heaven, this and the next three tracks “Cry Wit Lyrics”, “Wait A Minute”, and “You Can Run” are my favorite on this project. Tae Lamar makes dope beats, each song has a sermon laying the frame work of the track and with YP’s lyrics this album is not to be slept on, definitely 100% certified straight ministry heat.
